How it works
WGBS combines bisulfite conversion with sequencing to measure DNA methylation at individual bases across the genome. It enables comparisons of methylation patterns associated with development, disease and experimental treatments.
Applications
- Investigate DNA methylation during development and changes in cell state
- Compare methylation at individual sites and across genomic regions following treatment
- Integrate RNA-seq data to study the relationship between methylation and gene expression
Key features
- Single-base methylation measurements at covered sites
- Genome-wide coverage for broad methylation studies
- Analysis at both individual-site and regional levels
Workflow
- 01
Extract DNA and assess its quality
- 02
Perform bisulfite conversion and prepare sequencing libraries
- 03
Sequence libraries and assess coverage and conversion efficiency
- 04
Quantify methylation and identify and annotate differential sites and regions
We tailor the experimental workflow and analysis to your samples and study objectives.
